HAVE A LIST - KEEP IT AVAILABLE

Most of our trips consist of us bringing the same items each time. Whether that be a trip for a night or two, or a few weeks. Because of this, we found that having a master list available and ready to serve as a quick checklist has made preparing for trips much smoother and has reduced the chance for forgotten items. Feel free to  download a copy of our check list and adapt it to your needs and maybe it'll give you some ideas as well.

KEEP YOUR GEAR TOGETHER WHEN NOT IN USE

Storing all your camping gear together in either the garage or a corner of the basement will save you from having to search for items when it comes time to load things up for the trip. This may also help with gear inspection and seeing your gear often may help keep you motivated in putting it to use!

BE WEATHER AWARE

Packing the appropriate clothing, games and even food choices can go a long way in allowing you the flexibility to make the most of whatever Mother Nature has to offer. Dual use clothing, a pack of cards and dehydrated food choices can get you through a day or even a weekend should the weather become less than favorable.

STAY READY TO PIVOT

You'll want to keep your plans loose. Deciding to go on a whim may not provide as much scheduling as you'd like, so don't over commit to the day's agenda and only focus on the fact that "going camping" is the goal and everything else surrounding it is just the means. Having your items ready and a plan that offers fluidity will ensure you have a great time away, no matter what surprises come up.

HEAD OUT WHEN OTHERS ARE HEADING IN

Try to avoid weekends and holidays as best as possible. Hoping to get away only to find yourself surrounded by those who you tried to escape from, can really cramp your camping style. We love weekend warriors and encourage everyone to get outdoors, but sometimes we prefer to just hear of their stories rather than being apart of them.

DONT FORGET YOUR TOOHBRUSH!!

Be sure that you have your personal hygiene products packed up. From toothbrushes to toilet paper, you're going to want to make sure you stay fresh.

CLEAN UP ONCE HOME

Once you're home, be sure to give all your gear a proper clean and store them correctly and safely. You never know exactly when next you may get a chance to get out, and when that time presents itself, you want your gear to be ready without any unwanted surprises.

We hope these tips help you get the most out of whatever time you have to enjoy a camp night or nights out. If you have any further suggestions or tips, be sure to add your comment below and share them with the community!
